Froglets introduces preschoolers to three adorable woolly frogs — Ziff, Pip and Button — who live hidden away in the home of an ordinary family: Mum, Dad and their two children, Lilly and Alex. Whenever the family goes out and the house is empty, the Froglets emerge from their hiding places and set off on a little adventure, exploring new rooms, spaces and everyday objects that are completely unfamiliar to them. Each adventure is narrated by a warm female voice-over. Nobody in the house knows they are there — except for Bertie, the family’s faithful dog.

For the Froglets, the human world is full of everyday challenges and objects that are enormous by comparison with their tiny size. This sparks their need — and their desire — to adapt the world around them to suit their needs, in creative, playful and endlessly inventive ways. A rigatoni becomes a saxophone, dental floss turns into a cowboy lasso, and a pair of chopsticks can make surprisingly useful stilts. Then, at the end of a day full of adventures, just before the family comes home and discovers them, there is nothing the three frogs like better than retreating to their hiding places, ready and waiting for their next adventure.

Froglets is a handcrafted animated series created without the use of CGI. Featuring original knitted characters brought to life through a deliberately low-tech approach, the series creates a playful, colourful world filled with magic and wonder, defined by highly tactile visuals and the familiar charm of everyday objects.

Through the curiosity with which our little protagonists explore the human world, and the creativity with which they reinterpret it each time, the series aims to spark and nurture the imagination of its youngest viewers.

The series consists of 26 five-minute episodes and is an international co-production between Eaglet Films and Pesci Combattenti. The creator and creative director is Massimo Fenati, a children’s book illustrator, comic artist and animation director. The episodes are directed and produced by Riccardo Mastropietro. The voice-over is performed by Arianna Craviotto, a popular voice actress and content creator.
