Farmers or teachers, housewives or employers, artists or politicians, Le Ragazze del ‘46 have different origin, social background, education and opinions, but still all of them can tell with great emotion about the very first time they voted and its importance: 70 years have passed since 2nd June 1946, the day when, together with millions of other Italian women, they contributed to change the destiny of a nation by choosing between Monarchy and Republic and electing the Constituent Assembly. Each of these women has contributed to the growth and development of Italy with her life, her work and her strength.
