A docu-series about the stories of morbidly obese persons. At the Obesity Center in Castel Volturno, nearby Caserta, patients are placed under the care of Dr. Giardiello and his team to assist them in the weight loss through a path which is medical and human at the same time. To reach the hope for a better future – and often also to save their lives from death – firstly the patients will have to attempt to lose 10% of their weight on their own by following a strict diet and then, depending on their progress, they may undergo surgery for the reduction of a portion of their stomach. A course that – in most cases – will put their willpower through the winger. For some of them, it is a suffering difficult to overcome.
