Telespazio and the Italian Space Agency attended the forum on “Healthy Oceans and Seas: A Way Forward”, organised by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in New York in order to raise awareness of ocean protection and sustainable development. We presented the video installation entitled "COSMO-SkyMed and climate change" to highlight the attention on the dramatic impact of climate change on our planet, especially on small islands and glaciers. COSMO-SkyMed is an Earth observation satellite space-based radar system with global coverage of the planet in all-weather conditions day and night. This video installation allow to see stunning HD satellite images intended to make us meditate on the future of our planet and on what can be done to preserve its health.
